World War Hulk sets up an epic battle between Hulk and Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Mr Fantastic, and Black Bolt. Hulk is bent on revenge and when Hulk's mad....everyone pays.

World War Hulk is a mini series that’s main events took place from August 2007 to January 2008 in its own title, World War Hulk #1-5. The series was written by Greg Pak and illustrated by John Romita Jr. Cross-over and precluding events also took place in Incredible Hulk #107-111 and Word War Hulk: Frontline #1-6. Hulk Get MAD!!!Following the brutal, unexpected deaths of Hulk wife, unborn child and millions of his newfound friends and neighbors, Hulk decides to blame Black Bolt, Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Strange for his predicament. Hulk is convinced they rigged the bomb to explode in the shuttle, so he and a few leftover citizens of Sakaar set out on a revenge mission. Hulk Gets Revenge on Black BoltHulk’s first stop is the far side of the moon where Black Bolt resides as King of the Inhumans. There Hulk defeats Black Bolt and brings him to Earth to serve as a warning for Iron Man, Mr Fantastic and Dr. Strange. The entire Marvel universe unites to take down Hulk is what becomes World War Hulk. It is the first mission for the newly formed Mighty Avengers and the underground team the New Avengers. As the defeated heroes run for cover, Hulk decides to force his enemies to fight each other to the death. World War Hulk Finally Defeated by the SentryUltimately, only one super hero has the strength to outlast the Hulk: The Sentry. The Sentry is a very powerful super hero who is ironically crippled by severe agoraphobia. The Sentry is also a longtime friend to the Hulk, however, upon witnessing the Hulk violent destruction in World War Hulk, he finally decides to take action. The Sentry and Hulk square off and fight an epic battle. Both prove to be equally powerful and eventually wear each other down. Their fight is so devastating that several heroes must step in to keep them from accidentally destroying Earth in their battle. At the end of the intense battle, Hulk and Sentry revert to their human alter egos. World War Hulk ConclusionIt is later revealed that Hulk’s shuttle explosion was not in fact caused by Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Black Bolt, or Mister Fantastic at all. Instead a friend of Hulk’s planted the bomb in hope that it would eventually cause Hulk to return to Earth continue his rampaging ways. The shocking revelations puts Hulk into a deep realization of the errors of his ways and he finally submits to being locked away from the safety of all. This time Iron Man activates a series of S.H.I.E.L.D. satellites that beam enough energy at Hulk to keep him in Banner form, and then he locked in a cage three miles underground, where Hulk will remain incapacitated.
