Heroic Adventures celebrates 20 years in 2006. Liberty Girl, Psyche, Giant, and Anthem (by Roy Thomas) headline the Malone produced line. Look for them.
One of the most interesting comic companies out there is Heroic Publishing, edited by Dennis Malone. In truth, 20 years old this year, their line includes Psyche, Flare, the Black Enchantress, Witch Girls, Giant, the League of Champions, Anthem, and Tigress. Dick Giordano, and Frank Brunner, two classic artists, have recently joined their art 'team', and that's great news. Roy Thomas has even rejoined the ranks with Anthem. This month, Flare #32, Free Comic Book edition Liberty Girl #0, and Psyche #3 hit comic stores across North America. Liberty Girl comes straight out of WWII into the 90's courtesy of Malone and Daerick Gross. Slightly reminiscent of Pat Savage, her psychic powers are varied, and the introductory adventure is most excellent. Look out, July and issue #1 is coming soon! Psyche #3 is an outstanding issue featuring both the writing and art of Frank Brunner! Frank contributes Circles of Fear Pt II, and the cover art. Rose flies to London to look for John and ends up investigating his disappearance with a Dr Watson wannabe. The Black Enchantress goes collecting, and Clarissa McDougall (Vale) tells a tale of .....I'm not telling you that much. Buy this one for the cover... tell Frank you like it. Scott Shaw makes a mess of the Flare Universe as Flare tunes into her inner primate in "The Secret Invasion of the Gorillas From Outer Space". The Sky Marshall reappears to a passionate embrace and Cacharo decides to destroy the earth. A truly fishy story from Wilson Hill and Mr Walters. Sparkplug listens to a 'Sound of Distant Wonder' courtesy of Steve Perrin and Terry Pallot. Check out their excellent line of issues, heroes still live! Tim Lasiuta
